I’ve seen so many business owners that are completely wedged in their business & stuck because they get overwhelmed and burnt-out while trying to scale their business.
They spend hours and hours “doing the work” in the backend of their business that they don’t have the time to step back and show up as the CEO they need to be in order to scale their business. They’ve built a business that relies to 100% on them to participate that it literally can’t function without them.
Now my question for you is: Do you own your business or does it own you?
If you’re trapped inside your business, you’ll never be able to scale it to 6 figures and beyond because there are only 24 hours in a day and we can’t clone ourselves. At least not yet.
Today, I’ll share with you how you can create a solid foundation across three key areas in order to remove yourself from the backend of your business.
SYSTEMS
Simply said, a system is a way of doing a specific task in your business following a fixed plan. Systems ensure your business runs like a well-oiled machine – independently of you.
Your systems include any recurring task & best practice in your business captured in a step-by-step process so you can follow it and create consistent results.
And the good news? You already have created every single system in your business.
Each time you perform a task or follow a process, you are using a system, created by you. Therefore, all of your systems already exist, just maybe not “on paper”. Invoicing your clients? When you work with clients and they pay you (which I hope they do!), you already have a system for that. Each time you invoice your clients at the end of the month you follow a certain process that is locked in your brain. Does this task take you more than 2 minutes? Do you tend to forget certain steps at time? Because you shouldn’t. Systemizing your business will prevent exactly this from happening.

TECHNOLOGY
Technology offers so many great ways to optimize the process of running your business and even putting some parts of it on autopilot.
If you want to get started with technology to support your business, think about any task you currently perform manually and ask yourself: Is there a way you can automate it? Is there any step in the business that potentially could be performed by a tool? Is it more expensive to hire a person to do the task or is there a tool that could do that?
One of my favourite tools is Zapier. Zapier is a powerful automation tool that I use in every business of my client because it just GETS STUFF DONE FOR US.
Zapier integrates & connects your different apps with each other. Let’s say you are using Calendly for scheduling discovery calls and ConvertKit as your email system. Normally those two tools are not communicating with each other. Let’s say you have a new appointment for a discovery call scheduled, you would have to 1️) open Calendly, 2️) copy the name & email address of the prospect, 3️) go to ConvertKit and 4️) manually add the prospect to the list 5️) with the correct tag.
Zapier does ALL of this for you, instantly. You’ll only have to set up the automation once and then let Zapier do the work.
Remember, you want to run your business smarter, not work harder.
TEAM
I know you CAN do it all, but you won’t be able to scale your business when you’re DOING it all. When you are doing #allthethings, YOU are being the bottleneck of your business. Period.
In order to scale your business, you need to show up as the CEO that you are, remove yourself from the backend of the business and hire a support team.
Let others run the show so you can lean into the front-end of your business, create content, serve your clients and focus on the revenue generating tasks.
